Identifying Your Beach Glass

Living from our unique selves is like finding blue beach glass. Everyone has the potential to find blue beach glass…It’s accessible to us all. (Finding Blue Beach Glass: A Book About Personal Transformation)

Archetypes can be compared to a seed. There is already a pattern encoded at an individual level that knows it will eventually turn into a tomato plant or petunia. How archetypes manifest at an individual level varies from person to person. Evidence of an archetype acting in our lives can be traced back throughout our lifespan. Its footprints are there if we look for them as it is activated in situations, life roles, and relationships. When our archetype is active in our lives, we feel more alive, grounded, centered, and empowered.

In this workshop, you will explore 12 of the most common vocational archetypes; discover 1-3 vocational archetypes that are dominate in your life; and develop practices/strategies for appreciating how they may manifest more specifically in your life.

Using Your Beach Glass

For me, finding blue beach glass is like discovering the extraordinary in the everyday joys and difficulties of life. (Finding Blue Beach Glass: A Book About Personal Transformation)

In my experience, personal transformation moments occur in the ordinary circumstances and events of life and result in extraordinary moments. Whether these moments are cathartic and big, or small and tender, for me they all reveal the unique person within who has a particular story to tell. I refer to these moments affectionately, as sophia moments.

In this workshop, you will be introduced to a process that will enable you to state a deeply desired intention or need that both shifts and focuses your consciousness and evokes events in our outer world that aligns with this intention; filter our outer world for direction and guidance; and when a sophia moment occurs in response to this deeply held intention, focusing into the moment to derive its meaning for you in this time and place.

Exploring Your Broken Glass

Similar to the broken glass, we have rough, sharp edges that are longing to be soothed and transformed by the daily tumbling and wearing of our ordinary lives. (Finding Blue Beach Glass: A Book About Personal Transformation)

Hurtful or sabotaging parts of self are often formed in childhood, generally in response to a need to protect ourselves. We all possess some of these parts of self. While there may be a desire to send them packing, the reality is they are part of us and they are not going away. The solution is to find ways to integrate the gems that they have to offer. Their integration is key to our growth and development.

In this workshop, you will identify those parts of self that have proven to be harmful or sabotaging to you or in your relationships; identify strong traits and characteristics in each part; and develop practices/strategies for promoting their integration.
